hub. The 2-story
portion of the building provides retail space for the bookstore with a fireplace, cozy seating
areas, an elegant
customer service area and a rooftop glass conservatory. A bistro with ample dining space occupies
the ground level and
can be accessed directly from the bookstore.
SanPoil Treatment Center
Located on the Colville Tribal Reservation, this 46-bed residential treatment facility provides a
supportive, nurturing
environment for those seeking help with chemical dependency and mental health issues. The building
complex includes an
administrative building with offices, a computer lab, a commercial kitchen, a cafeteria, a weight room,
and activity
rooms; men's and women's dormitories, each with an attached therapy/treatment building; a daycare
center; a maintenance
building; and a pump house.
EWU Pence Union Building
The Pence Union Building, located on the campus of Eastern Washington University, has been honored with
multiple design awards. International recognition includes the BLT Built Global Design Award in the
Education category. Of special note, this was the only United States-based education project to be
honored in 2018. Congratulations to designer Perkins + Will.
